Dear Alumni,
It is with great pleasure that we extend to you the best wishes for a
happy and prosperous new year 2012. We are also confident that you
have progressed well with your career or with your further studies
during the period since you graduated from KIT. Since your graduation
from the College/ Department various highlighting activities were
conducted by the Department, various milestones set and these include
1. Completion of 25 years of inception of the College in the year
2008,
2. NBA accreditation of the Department in the year 2008,
3. Conduct of international seminar on world class manufacturing by
the Department in the year 2008,
4. Conduct of ISTE-STTP on the subject FEA and Design optimization by
the Department in the year 2006
5. Increase in intake of the Department from 60 to 120 from academic
year 2011-12,
6. Installation of SAE ( Society for Automotive Engineers) student
chapter in the Department during the academic year 2011-12
7. Installation of ISHRAE (Indian Society for Heating Refrigeration
and Air conditioning Engineers) student Chapter in the Department
during the academic year 2011-12.
8. Conduct of Texplore a state level technical festival/ Competition
by the Department since the academic year 2008-09.
The Department continues to excel in its academic performance, Campus
placements and a regular batch of students opting for PG courses in
some of the best Technical and Management institutes of the country
and abroad.
The formation of Departmental Advisory Board comprising of various
well known academicians and industrialists with Mr. R. R. Deshpande,
Executive - Director KOEL, as Chairman of board and
Mr. P.K Rath MD Bajaj Auto,
Dr. Padwal from Rathi industries,
Mr. Harshe from Manugraph industries,
Mr. Prakasa Rao Sr. VP KOEL Kagal,
Dr. Kamal Vora ARAI,
Mr. Sushil Mane from Altair Banglore,
Mr. Vijay Menon M.D Menon and Menon Ltd.,
Mr. Chandrashekhar Dolli from Mayura steels and
Mr. Rajesh Gurav from Emerson Climate Technologies.
Dr. V.A. Kori Registrar VTU Belgaum- Karnataka.
As its members has immensely helped the Department in keeping pace
with the industry and enhance Industry Institute Interaction. In short
the Department has come to be recognized as one of the best and most
sought after programmes in the University. To share with you these
achievements of the Department and also to share your own achievements
and experiences we wish to organize an Alumni get together on Thursday
the 26th of January 2012. This Alumni meet we are sure will not only
help you in revisiting your alma mater and your friends but also help
you in beneficially interacting with other Senior/ Junior Alumni of
the Department.
The venue and other details of the meet will be informed to you in
advance for you to make your travel and lodging plans.
